How do you measure the PVC strip curtain offer?

Can PVC strip curtains be pulled out of the way?

Yes, we have a slide rail installation that allows all or part of the curtain to temporarily slide aside to improve clear access or ventilation. But please remember… the curtains are not folded or bent around the corners like accordion or fabric. They move in a straight lateral direction, like a sliding door. As a result, there should be open linear space for them to transition. (eg…. to pass through a 2m wide curtain it will need 2m of space next to it.) If lateral space is an issue, options are available that use partial shift options or double sliding rails.

What is the best PVC curtain track system to use on my door?

This will depend on where the curtain is hanging and how heavy duty you need. We offer four suspension rail systems for doors: Rotating hinge rails (for heavy-duty / industrial areas used by forklifts). Bolt-on twin track (for medium duty use in tough work areas with frequent use). Easy to attach hook rails (for light to medium use in all personal / pallet truck environments). What kind of PVC strip should I use?

This will depend on where the curtain is hanging, its size and what kind of traffic might need to pass through it. For areas of normal ambient temperature and / or coolers above 0 ° C, we recommend Standard PVC specifications. For freezing or sub-zero environments, we recommend Polargrade PVC properties (this contains more plasticizer to help the PVC stay flexible). Polargrade PVC should be avoided in areas above freezing, as the extra softener can make PVC extremely flexible and sticky to the touch. This can make the transition more difficult. We also have specialist PVC for food preparation and welding environments. For heights up to approx. 3 m, we usually recommend 200 mm or 300 mm wide strips. For heights between 3m-5m, we usually recommend 300mm or 400mm wide strips. For heights over 5m we usually recommend strips of 400mm width. The thickness of the PVC to be used will depend on how strong the curtain must be to withstand weather conditions and / or traffic. Thinner PVC will be lighter and easier to pass, but less effective against strong wind or rain. The opposite will be true for thicker PVC.
