Cold room question and answer

Cold room question and answer,

What are the requirements for building a cold room or freezer room?

Cold rooms and -18 freezer rooms are built inside warehouses, factories, shops, containers and homes. You will need at least a flat concrete floor to install on and a canopy over the entire unit to protect it from direct sunlight and the elements and adequate electricity.

What is a cold room?

A cold room (+1°C to 101°C) or Freezer (-15°C to -30°C) room is an insulated and refrigerated space whose temperature is controlled to help preserve products that require cold temperatures. Special cold rooms and -18freezer rooms for certain products require specific temperatures to better preserve the product, For example vegetables require 5°C and blast freezer -25 to -35°C.

How many days does it take to build a cold room or freezer room?

This depends on the size of the cold or -18freezer room and the relevant accessories. (For example, a simple 9m x 9m room can be easily completed in +-3 weeks)

What information do I need to provide when I request a quote?

Each room is specifically designed to suit the specific customer's Need. The following aspects are taken into consideration while designing the Cold Room:

1-What size cold room do you need? (length x width x height) (depends on your available space and the volume of products you want to store.)

2-Which product is stored in the cold room or freezer room?

3-Daily incoming product volume? (in kg)

4-Total volume to be stored? (in kg)

5-What temperature will the product enter? (degrees Celsius)

6-Required temperature? (Standard +0 °C for cold rooms and -20 °C for freezer rooms)

7-Time required to reduce the product to the required temperature? (The product's withdrawal time is standard 24 hours.

8-Required door size? ( hinge - 900 x 1900 mm. sliding - 2400 x 2400) (other dimensions as required)

9-Installation location. (City district).

What are the most preferred cold room sizes?

In the smaller range: 1x2 2x2 2x3 3x3 3x4 4x4 4x5 5x5 h 2.3In the larger range: These can be custom made to any size required.

Where should we place the cooling unit?

Cooling The unit is located outside and the evaporator is connected to the cold room with copper pipes and cabling.

How much noise does the Freezer Cooling unit make?

This will depend on the size of the compressor or condensing unit.

Will there be any noise and Garbage during installation?

All chambers are pre-manufactured and flat packed in our factory, allowing for ease of installation on site with minimal cutting and modification. Installations are clean and fast.

What are the cold room construction stages?

Our teams will first start with the construction of the insulated structure. Once the main structure is standing, they will begin installing the cooling equipment, and finally, the team will continue the trimming and finishing of the insulated structure until the system is fully commissioned.

How will the cold room be delivered to my workplace?

The cold room will be delivered as a disassembled modular system, which will be transported to the required area in pre-manufactured parts and assembled in the required area.

Can you control the cold or -18 freezer room based on the storage temperature I choose?

Yes, we can design the cold and -18freezer room to operate at your desired temperature

What electrical connection do I need to use the cold room?

Cooling units require 1 Phase 220V or 3 Phase 380V systems. Typical home units operate on a 1 Phase power supply. Any system larger than 2HP needs a 3 Phase 380V power supply. We will specify the amperage required for each system.

How long does it take for a cold room or -18freezer room to cool down?

This can be customized and designed to suit your requirements and application. When we calculate the cooling capacity requirement of a cold room or -18freezer room, we will take into account the heat load, quantity, weight and required cooling time of the product.

Does a cold room stop working on very hot days or in hot climates?

Absolutely not, if the cold room is designed correctly. Our units are designed to work in the harshest African environment and will continue to cool and protect your product on hot days!
